After the bakery closed during the 2008 recession, they moved to Mexico to teach English, where they discovered real fruit and dairy-based paletas. This journey ultimately inspired their mission to introduce traditional Mexican paletas to the Bay Area.

Owned by sisters Meimei Ma and Koei, the business grew from Meimei’s early dessert venture.
