Saigon Street 2 Banh Mi & More was born from a family passion for Vietnamese food and cooking. Their family started the original food truck together, and in the beginning, they worked side by side to build the business and share their love of Vietnamese cuisine with their customers. After several years of working together, Richie Hoang started his own food truck while keeping the Saigon Street 2 name. Even though Saigon Street 2 now operates independently, family remains an important part of their story. They often get together to discuss new dishes, share ideas, and find ways to improve and perfect their menu. They believe that creating great food is an ongoing process, and they are always looking for ways to make their recipes, ingredients, and flavors even better. Their menu features Vietnamese favorites such as fresh Bánh Mì, grilled chicken and pork, chow mein, rice plates, and Vietnamese iced coffee. They focus on fresh ingredients, flavorful preparation, and food made with care. What makes Saigon Street 2 special is not only the food, but the family passion and continuous effort behind every dish.

meet Richie

Richie Hoang, owner of Saigon Street 2 Banh Mi & More, grew up in a large Vietnamese family with 10 brothers and 2 sisters. Food and family were always at the center of his childhood. His parents loved to cook, and with such a large family, gatherings and shared meals were part of daily life. Growing up surrounded by the aromas, flavors, and traditions of Vietnamese cooking inspired Richie to develop a deep passion for food and cooking. Over time, that passion grew into a commitment to creating dishes with care and attention to detail—from using quality ingredients to baking fresh bread and making sure every dish meets his standards.

Richie believes that great food is not just about the recipe—it is about the quality, freshness, and love put into every dish. What he finds most rewarding is hearing from his customers. The positive feedback, compliments, and continued support from customers who follow Saigon Street 2 motivate Richie to keep learning, improving, and making each dish even better. His goal is simple: to share the food he loves, bring people together, and give every customer a meal they will remember. Today, Richie continues to bring the flavors and traditions he grew up with to the community through Saigon Street 2—From Saigon to the Bay – Fresh, Fast, Flavorful.
