Born out of college ingenuity at CCA, Ruru serves vibrant, whole-food dishes that bring nourishment and convenience to work settings, catering events, and music festivals. With a focus on fresh, flavorful ingredients and a touch of Ecuadorian influence, Ruru is more than a food truck—it’s a mission to connect communities through healthy, soul-satisfying food. Meet Ruru

Meet the heart behind Ruru, an Ecuadorian immigrant with a passion for nourishing bodies and souls through whole foods. Moving to the Bay Area 13 years ago to pursue industrial design, this visionary found their true calling in the food business as a vegan builder and creator. From designing the Ruru trailer to fostering community connections through food truck events and catering, their journey is one of creativity, resilience, and love for fresh, plant-based meals. With plans for a café and supermarket offerings on the horizon, they’re excited to keep sharing Ruru’s Ecuadorian-inspired goodness with the world!
